Artist's Comments
This is my first deviation here at DA. What a great community. I do all sorts of artwork but I am focusing now on my guitars. I will post more pics soon of older projects and new ones as they come out of the shop. I will also try to get some more of my other art froms on here as well.
The Dragonfly guitar design is a hollowbody guitar with a carved top and routed back and sides. In essense it is the result of taking one off my solidbody electrics and mating it with an archtop acoustic jazz guitar. I find this design to be incredibly versatile and makes for an extremely expressive instrument. There will certainly be more variations coming out the laboratory soon! This guitar features a curly Claro Walnut top and black limba (aka: korina) body and neck. It is a hollowbody with a fully carved top and braces, like an acoustic jazzer but more compact with thicker sides and back. The Indian rosewood neck is just awesome and really brings out the color of the top. The pickup chpice and control layout (on the back) are all ideas of my client.
